A lawsuit filed in a California court has ruled that Apple Watch watches, equipped with state-of-the-art technology, are a threat to consumers. The complainant claims that the watch can cause severe injuries and deep wounds to the user.
According to the New York Post, the plaintiff claimed that his hand was severely injured when the glass of his Apple Watch suddenly shattered and the remaining pieces of glass on the edges injured his hand.
Plaintiff Chris Smith is a resident of Alabama, USA, who bought an Apple Watch for 359 with taxes. The accident happened while Smith was playing golf.
The complaint also stated that the watch’s lithium-ion battery could explode, causing the glass frame to break at any time, which could cause serious injuries to the user.
It should be noted that this is not a single complaint. The company has received dozens of complaints in this regard, but no explanation has been forthcoming from the agency.
